“CHIC” people – more than a word and who are these people?

Do you have one word that you constantly use for a specific situation? We don’t have time for negativity so the word that I was referring to is of course, an encouraging one. In my life, I have probably mentioned the word Chic more than I should. I use the word chic to judge a style, some products, or even to judge people. My friends know that my brand somehow lingers to the word chic – just simply because I always say that word. You might wonder, what is this word “Chic”, though? The word itself means classy. Simple huh? – not really!

The word chic is more than meets the eye, and for sure, beyond just a word. In definition, chic means classy – classy means a thing or a person who is sophisticated. But then again, its beyond just that. People sometime mistakenly use the word chic; for instance, chic equals to some spoiled brats who just shopped at a Chanel boutique and do some more boutique hopping afterwards. No-no-no!

Chic is a character, mindset and action, not a race of who is richer.

On Today’s post, I would like to list down five points that considered the true and extended meaning of being chic or classy; who are the people that considered classy? – and these points will explain why should you pursue in being chic!

1. Chic is Humble

Sometimes the word classy and chic is superior to those who are fortuned with more money. In fact, it’s not. A LOT of inferiors have shown more class than those who are loaded. One of the qualities of classy people is being humble – you are lowkey and is able to do many things that sometimes, outside your comfort zone. You do not set a stupid boundary over something unnecessary and willing to do unconventional actions.

2. Chic is Kindness

Probably the best character of classy person should have - you do not discriminate. You treat and see people with respect, no matter who he/she is. I saw a quote by tom hardy saying that he treats the janitor like he treats the CEO. That is the character you need to aim! You can judge and tell a lot about a person simply by seeing how they treat people. Be kind, always. Throw it around like confetti.

3. Chic is Passion

Chic people know what they are doing. They know what do they represent. Passionate people are different with ambitious people. I hate ambitious people especially when they start to exaggerate it. Passionate people just do. They prove by actions and doing it in the lowkey-est way. People with passion have this magnetic feel that you, yourself will feel pumped when youre around them – and that, is chic!

4. Chic is Personal care

This, is important! Chic people take care of their body internally and externally. You take care of your internal by consuming what’s good for your body and you take care of your external by applying what’s good for them. Looking good from the inside and outside is the best thing you could ask for and that is, chic!

5. Chic is not style, but Taste!

The example I mentioned earlier, that is one of the examples of this point. Chic Is not merely the things you put on your body, it’s taste! It’s all done by the person and not the materialistic lingering on your body. An exquisite taste is something you want to have and taste is a mindset that you need to train.
